Méi Yuè Táng Guǒ Zi Diàn

Despite suffering damage from the 3.11 disaster, the restaurant was urged to reopen by locals. I first visited approximately two years ago around 10 am. As rumored, I lined up with tourists and locals, waited for about 40 minutes, and purchased the highly praised Kashiwa Mochi. I enjoyed it in the car on the way back from sightseeing and was delighted to find that the warm Kashiwa Mochi was filled with plenty of sweet red bean paste. "Delicious!" It was not too sweet and not sticky. I quickly devoured a second one, regretting not buying more. The taste stayed with me, so I revisited recently around 9 am. Luckily, there were no other customers. The Kashiwa Mochi was ready! I quickly made my purchase and as I left the store, cars began to park in front and a line formed immediately. It was delicious as ever this time as well. I will definitely visit again.

The parking lot is located in front of the restaurant. It is also possible to park at the edge of the convenience store's parking lot next door. The Kashiwa mochi here is excellent. They also accept electronic payments now. Due to the impact of the new coronavirus, only one group is allowed to enter the restaurant at a time.

Located near Kuhama Station, behind the Seven Eleven. Their kashiwamochi is famous and very delicious. I usually receive it as a gift, but for the first time, I went to the actual store. Around 12:30 pm, there were already several customers inside, all waiting for the kashiwamochi. It's always delicious, but I suggest you try it as soon as you buy it, it's even more delicious. It was also well received as a souvenir. 5 for 650 yen, 10 for 1300 yen. I also tried their "O-deshi no nama dounatsu" and it was also very delicious. It has an elegant sweetness and a light and fluffy texture similar to chiffon cake, with powdered sugar on top that melts easily.

こどもの日の柏餅で、１時間並びました。コロナ対策で、お店に入れるのが１組ずつということで⋅⋅⋅。 店先の駐車スペースで店頭販売すれば、オープンスペースで密を防げて、良かったんじゃないの？と並びながら思ってました。 柏餅は美味しかったですよー！
