つちや Shí Táng - 浅口市

The katsudon (pork cutlet bowl) is famous as the "shining katsudon" here. Every dish is served piping hot. Eating these dishes while sweating in the midsummer heat is truly delicious. The homemade noodles in ramen and champon are also quite tasty. The tricky part is buying meal tickets face to face as soon as you enter the restaurant. You may end up ordering the same thing every time without much thought. But, you won't regret it.

I went on a location tour of "Tonbi" and tried their delicious Champon.

Located in an old shopping street, the restaurant was clean and beautiful. The staff, including the kind old lady, warmly greeted us and made us feel welcome, even to our little ones. We were able to dine slowly and enjoy our meal. The meat in the grilled meat set was thick and tender, the fried chicken was seasoned well with garlic and ginger, and the popular Chanpon noodles were filled with seafood and other ingredients, delivering a taste that lived up to its No.1 status.

金光教 本部広前会堂で参拝、金光駅辺りまで足を伸ばし、じっくり散策したあと昼餉に訪れたのは歴史ある「つちや食堂」」さん、門前町を代表する食堂さんです。前回訪問は2018年3月ですから3年半ぶりの訪問です。 正月三が日なので参拝客の方で賑わっていますね、中央のレジで注文＆先払い、右手奥のテーブル席に着いて待ちます。 注文はオムライス（700円）、待つこと10分少々で着皿．．．赤いケチャップではなくデミグラスソースですね。スッキリ横長形状で綺麗に卵が巻かれています。 中はケチャップ味のチキンライスですが酸味は強すぎることなくあっさりした味わい、デミグラスソースは老舗洋食屋さんを思わせる深みのある味わい、オムライスを一段高みに引き上げていました p.s. 2022年公開の映画「とんび」の撮影が金光町大谷地区で一昨年秋におこなわれたそうです。原作は岡山出身の重松清氏、主演は阿部寛さんと北村匠海さん．．．楽しみです！！
