I have to ding the staff at the front desk. They just didn't seem eager to help and almost seemed annoyed sometimes. Overall a good experience
Ideal location for staying when visiting Aberdeen, connected to Union Square shopping mall with bus and train station in close proximity. The hotel has 24 hour room service with food available from the Bowery dining and drinks menu. Our room on the 5th floor had a partial view of the sea with the beach Ferris wheel and harbour. Our room for this stay was a Superior Double Room with a comfortable double bed with plenty of space for sitting area at the floor to ceiling window. The breakfast for Two was included in the price, with plenty of selection to choose from. On this occasion the cooked items of food could have been better prepared, but overall a nice breakfast. Ideal hotel for city centre break in Aberdeen with travel facilities close by, restaurants and nightlife nearby also. If traveling by car there is the Union Square carpark available, but they are separate entities and no discount is given. Very reasonable price for city centre parking.
Dinner was great, much appreciated after a long day of travelling. However, it paled in comparison to the service from the bar staff they were exemplary. I requested a drink that was unfortunately not on the menu, and they were more than happy to cater for me. Hopefully, this will now be added to the drinks menu. Thanks again.
I enjoyed a one-night stay here and was very pleased with the room and facilities. Online check-in/out is available but friendly staff are on reception 24hrs a day to welcome you. The room I stayed in was fairly large and included all the usual facilities (hairdryer etc) plus some unexpected ones (ironing board). The hospitality tray was particularly well stocked with both kettle and Nespresso machine. The mini fridge contained soft drinks and confectionery. There was an ice machine located in the corridor which was a nice extra. The room was very clean, spacious and had great views across the city. I hope to stay here again on my next visit to Aberdeen. This is a good choice to stay if you want to meet up with friends as there are many seats and cosy corners with complimentary newspapers, water and fruit in the public vestibule area. There is a cafe bar serving a wide range of refreshments with great views across central Aberdeen. This would be a great place to spend some time before catching a train (or bus). Excellent location being right beside the railway and bus station and accessed from the Union Square shopping. I really couldn't fault this lovely hotel.
The location of the hotel is outstanding, it’s literally in the shopping mall and close to all the buses and trains. There are a lot of options for food everywhere. We stayed for 4 nights and we were happy with the service. We are also very thankful because we checked in very late and it was all of the sudden because we had to switch our hotels so we were lucky that they had a free room. Every member of staff is very nice and helpful, the members of staff that clean the rooms do it well and the rooms are relatively clean. We did see some dirtiness in the room but they weren’t major concerns as the bed and the bathroom were clean which is the most important. It’s also quite obvious that the hairdryer wasn’t used or cleaned in a while, which was quite disappointing as we wanted to use it. In addition they had a kettle and tea in the room, the tea they put was lovely. I would also like to add that the hotel is quite pricy, and there may be cheaper options in the area, however if you buy the room on the day you want to check in every single option will be expensive so it may be cheaper if you book in advance.
