Eh, too many hipsters first line. baristas can not get gig nowadays if they don't wear op shop clothing with rips in it, wearing a smelling bart and meaningless tattoos. back to my day you had to be no drunk to fall a decent shot espresso! after they have said that this is quite every café/bake they enter today. red patches and cakes are quite delicious and coffee is decent quality. nothing great. poppy loves the huge sausage roll in his mouth. I would definitely come for a quick bakery bite if he met. you have to eat.
My friend announced that she wanted a really good torte to lunch so my first thought was red door bakery I am a long time fan of the rolls but decided that it was time to introduce me to the cake. the special of the day was a Mexican barkcake and it was delicious! with the chili jam on the side a great lunch!
One of the best cakes/berries in adelaidee. flaky buttery pastries and delicious filling. they need their chili jam, as it works well with the baked, although it costs a dollar extra, but definitiw it worth.
I finally gave into temptation and stepped inside Red Door for a look. Unimpressed with the selection of pastries in the pie warmer, I opted for a sweet treat to takeaway. My raspberry oozie whatsit (cronut in appearance) was tasty, fresh and had a tangy jam inside. Nice comfort food, just not something I'd have often due to the abundance of thick sugar Hopefully there will be some savoury goods slightly less cooked next time I visit. Admittedly I like my pastries on the anaemic/blonde side, but the ones I saw were very dark, especially considering it was before 12pm.
