I had the berry baby shake and the roasted banana bread with Nuttlex. The shake was just okay, and I felt the banana bread was a waste of money.
This was a great spot for a drink and a quick bite. We visited twice while feeling tired and thirsty, and the owner was very friendly and accommodating. On our first visit, we tried a green smoothie ($9), but they had run out of maple syrup, and it was sweet enough without it. On our second visit, we got the last piece of banana bread, which was toasted with margarine and was delightful—moist and not overly sweet. We also ordered an iced latte ($6) and a chocolate-mint smoothie ($9). We ended up adding gelato ($2) to the latte, which was delicious, but it actually made the smoothie taste more like dessert. I’d love to come back for a proper lunch here.
This café is incredibly cozy and welcoming. It features a delightful menu that typically offers vegetarian options, as well as some vegan choices and a few selections for omnivores. The beetroot latte is absolutely delicious. The cold-pressed juice and vegan French toast are definitely worth trying too!
