Pupusas are super lite and tasty this place Ranks up there with a few of my favorites. I was impressed tonight my honey brought me here and yes I was skeptical at first and they won me over. The young woman was very attentive. If I could give her service a 10 plus.
I was waiting for my haircut appointment at Al’s barber shop down the street. I was craving some breakfast. Albert’s cafe has been around since the beginning. It’s a simple and classic breakfast spot. Whenever I go, they’re on point. What did I get? Country fried steak with eggs, hash browns and a side of toast. Oh and some OJ. I like my eggs sunny-side up, sometimes over medium, depending on my mood. My hash browns were crispy on the outside and medium in the middle. The actual fried steak was fried nice topped with a generous amount of country gravy. Mmmm mmm mmmmm. This place is small but I like it. Very consistent. If you’re in Alameda and don’t want big crowds, this your place. Low key straight to the point. Plus you get and Andes chocolate mint after!
The best pupusas I have eaten in the Bay Area. Had the chicharon and cheese pupusas, both amazing. The tacos are very good as well.
Hunting around Alameda for breakfast, came across Albert's Cafe. A semi, well mostly Mexican menu. A lot to choose from. Wonderful breakfast eggs and hash browns American Style. We ordered a breakfast burrito that came covered in salsa. My son ordered deep fried shrimps with rice and beans and tortillas. Everything was great, I would recommend it. Thank you Alberts
New food spin on old traditional breakfast/lunch restaurant in Alameda! I enjoyed my delicious super burrito and took back to the hovel a “create your own” pupusa (with spinach and chicken) trio of tamales for my husband! Enjoyed watching the photo of your other dishes on the TV while eating my burrito! Wow!
