Curious Toast Cafe - Albuquerque

I'm sitting at a table in the cafe as I write this, unable to wait another moment to tell the people of Albuquerque what a fantastic gem we have in our city! I've been wanting to try Curious Toast for months, and today was finally the day. I am SO glad I stopped in! This beautiful historic home turned cafe brought a smile to my face from the moment I arrived. As I approached the front steps, I felt a warm, eclectic vibe. The staff greeted me with cheerful smiles, and their pride in the restaurant was evident. Jadyn's patience and recommendations for this newcomer were greatly appreciated—she was spot on! I opted for something sweet and ordered the Coffee Cushion. French toast soaked in coffee? Yes, please! I paired it with a delightful Biscochito Latte, and Rocky suggested I try it with oat milk. Everything was simply amazing!

I've been visiting Toast for a few years and have witnessed its impressive evolution and growth. If you're hesitant due to reviews from over a year ago, I can assure you that they've made remarkable improvements. They incorporate local bread and produce, and the staff is fantastic—truly passionate about their work! With great coffee, a lovely atmosphere, and delicious food (not to mention unique and fun ideas), they really have everything you could want!

Second time coming here. First time was lovely. This recent experience was not satisfactory. My partner and I arrived and paid almost $40 for two plates, just for us to sit and wait 45 minutes for one plate. Out of politeness I waited to eat my meal thinking his plate would arrive soon. It did not, it took an hour for his (I had to remind the crew that his plate had not arrived after the hour passed)We were disappointed as everyone around us received their meals before ours. It was very busy and the crew is always friendly but I feel that there should be more hospitality and preventive steps taken to avoid this issue for next time. We had to eat our food cold and left feeling very let down.

This place is fabulous! Interesting food, great options fun atmosphere. This is a hidden gem! Service is good and you get what you pay for for sure! Highly recommend.
