Lovely little pub with friendly, welcoming staff and a peaceful garden view!
Lovely, warm and cosy with fire going. Friendly service. Delicious lunch and nice tasting glass of wine. The garden is so pretty, with wonderful views. Great for a pub lunch or a coffee and snack. A great find.
Small pub in the heart of the village of Alfriston. A picturesque beer garden that overlooks St. Andrew's Church and the village green. Staff are friendly. The small bar area had a strong scent of tobacco which was a little off-putting.
We were in Alfriston for 4 days a return after12years. We popped in for a cream tea and ended up with the best cheese omelette l have ever had with great chips. So decided to give the full English a go the next day with full veggie breakfast both excellent great value for money and polite friendly staff. Will definitely make sure we return even for a day. You must sit outside on a sunny day and enjoy the view of the church. And......they open before 10 am.
