Starter meat chicken very dry and mostly thigh meat. Hard to eat because of dryness. Mains all looked the same brown not sure what the dishes had been thickened with more like a gravy colour filled mostly with onion again thigh meat overly salty and lots of pepper. Worse meal in a long time very upsetting for the near £100 bill. Will not be back.
Celebrating Birthday party in Maryport Tandoori miss some friends because they are away. The food was great and tasty as ever and we will return best Curry house
Looking at it from outside/the decor within, it doesn't look like much. Well don't judge a book by its cover because we had a wonderful meal! Poppadoms and chutney, a portion of onion bhajis to share, chicken rogan josh, chicken garlic bhuna, pilau rice, cheesy garlic naan and fries, 3 soft drinks for £50. And better than that, it all tasted excellent. Annoyed that we live 200 miles away, if we're ever in that neck of the woods again we'll certainly return. Oh and all the staff were very attentive and friendly lovely experience.
On a recent holiday to Maryport we had the pleasure of visiting the tandoori twice during our stay. The menu is tailored to the locals with not too many really spicy dishes but if you want it hotter just ask them and they will make it to your preferred heat. There is a nice variety of dishes to choose from. I would definitely recommend trying this tandoori when you are in the area.
