During our three-week road trip around the north of England, we visited several Wetherspoons pubs, but this one was the least enjoyable. The place was dirty and the staff were unmotivated and impolite. The beer was decent, but the food was subpar - especially considering I had the same curry at another Wetherspoons and it was delicious. The building itself was intriguing, and the pub had the potential to be something special, but unfortunately, it fell short. Overall, very disappointed with our experience.
The staff at this restaurant were extremely disrespectful and unhelpful. They were rude to both myself and my children. I would strongly advise against visiting this establishment. The waitress with green and blue dyed hair, as well as the manager, were not polite. I would never return. Additionally, I waited over an hour for my breakfast, which was not very good. The plates were tossed onto the table and the staff walked away. Overall, it was a terrible experience.
Just popped in for a pint and potentially a meal really. I would have ordered a meal but I could see they were really busy and there was standing room only so I didn't. I was satisfied with just the pint though and didn't have to wait too long to get served. Can't blame the staff, the pub was filled to capacity and staff were working hard. I'll be sure to return and try plan my next visit before busy periods. Praise be to the efficient staff.
Visited Keswick while staying in Cockermouth, popped in here for a bite to eat. Good choice of food, reasonably priced, staff friendly.
