Taberna Zé D'anica - Alvor

Melhor restaurante em Alvor na minha opinião. Comida fabulosa, equipe extremamente amigável, realmente genuína e adora crianças também. Meu filho de 2 anos estava falando sobre o pai (seu nome me escapa agora, mas ele não poderia ter sido mais agradável) por semanas após nossa visita! Ainda se destaca como um destaque das férias para mim e já se passou quase um ano desde que minha família e eu estivemos lá. Além disso, o restaurante oferece um valor incrível pelo dinheiro. Será o primeiro restaurante na minha lista se voltarmos a Alvor novamente.

Agradável, com um ambiente informal, este restaurante oferece uma grande variedade de petiscos de marisco e outros de qualidade, decoração agradável e simpatia a condizer.

Having visited Alvor for over twenty years, and having eaten in many of the restaurants in the Village, we decided to try out this Restaurant, having seen so many postive reviews. There was six of us and only 2 other people dining when we visited. We decided on the steak and sole and rice for the smallest member of our group. Steak arrived with homemade crisps which were cold and the steak while nice and tender was lukewarm to say the least. The sole described in the menu as sole meuniere came in a pan and was hot but floating in oil not butter which made it impossible to eat, it came with a very small bowl of potatoes and no veg whasotever. The rice was also cold. The restaurant is very nicely decorated and the owner is pleasant, maybe we got them on a bad night, but we won't be trying it again. I always say you can't get a bad meal in Alvor but now I unfortunately say you can.

Visited here on recommendation of a local - real laid back atmosphere and friendly staff. The food was delicious and so reasonable. We had sole the first night and the owner brought the pan down to our table - it was delicious. the rice pudding is a lovely warming dessert afterwards. Also had the thai chicken curry another night- v tasty and filling. My favourite restaurant of the hols.
