Feedback gevenI cannot comprehend how there could be a negative review for this deli. It serves the best sandwiches I have ever had. I need to have one at least once a week. Since the deli opened last year, I have had a sandwich almost every week and I have never been disappointed. The quality of the sandwiches is exceptional for the price, the beef is incredibly tender, and the spices are so flavorful that they elevate the sandwich to a whole new level. The ingredients are always of premium quality. The Chicago style sandwich has amazing hot giardiniera, of the highest quality, and my friend can't get enough of the aioli sauce on the paninis made with fresh brioche (the softest bun I have ever tasted). Each sandwich is made with care by the hardest working individual I have ever seen. He is authentic and always up for a conversation while crafting his amazing sandwiches. I highly recommend this deli and urge everyone to give it a try, as once they do, they will never go back to generic sandwich chains. They simply cannot compare to the quality and service provided at Gabriel's Deli. It is a must-visit spot for anyone passing through Amherstburg, and I personally will continue to be a loyal customer on a weekly basis!
Great sandwiches, fast service, and the owner is very friendly. A little pricey, but it is well worth it for the size of the sandwich and the quality. I got the Detroit Style on Brioche and would highly recommend it. Plenty of chicken, delicious coleslaw...and 1000 Island Dressing with Mustard. Will definitely be back!
Got myself a sandwich from this cute little deli. It was great! The owner was very friendly. Perfect stop for lunch in the park. Definetely reccomend!
Gabriel himself is charming and sincerely wants to please his customers. However, I was disappointed with the sandwiches I tried twice, especially the one I had recently. I ordered the Manhattan with brisket on brioche. Gabriel said the meat was from real roasts, but the texture seemed more like processed meat to me. I couldn't taste the garlic aioli and the mozzarella seemed lacking in flavor. The brioche was good, but the overall experience was not worth the $10 price tag. Despite my disappointing experience, it seems that others enjoy the sandwiches at Gabriel's. I wish him the best in his business and hope that my next visit will be more satisfying.
My wife and I decided to try this restaurant after hearing all the rave reviews. And let me tell you, it did not disappoint! This place serves the BEST deli sandwiches. We were pleased to meet the owner, who is clearly a hardworking and dedicated individual. While the prices were a bit steep, the freshness and quality of the food made it all worth it. Everything was prepared right in front of us as we waited. I would easily give this charming deli a 5 out of 5 rating and we will definitely be returning. -Mike
