Feedback gevenI'm not sure which I enjoyed most, the food or the service. The head waiter was excellent, attentive, whilst giving us space. He spoke excellent English and went through each dish on the menu explaining where the produce was sourced and recommending what he thought we would like including drinks. The food was delicious, I recommend the foie gras to start and the monk fish, which comes with vegetables as a main. Whilst I don't eat puddings they did look amazing. I had a selection of regional cheese which was lovely. Not cheap, but worth every penny! The restaurant is located on the canal but away from the other restaurants and hustle and bustle. Nice and private. The terrace outside is lovely to sit on and shaded with canopies. Would definitely recommend.
Oustanding food , outstanding service and an oustanding location, you are made to feel like James Bond . Dont be a tourist and eat with the herd .for a few hours be treated like James Bond. Outstanding.
This bustling restaurant full of locals and tourists is a perfect place for a simple it well made dish.
Located on the banks of the Somme this is fine dinning at its very best. We initially only came here as our previous choice were not yet serving dinner.From the time we entered the restaurant to the time we left this was an excellent experience, the location, the decor, the staff, the service and the food and drink as well - everything made and cooked on the premises. The restaurant has its own car park, there is public street parking around it and it is only about a 5 minute walk from the Cathedral. David the head waiter looked after our every needs initially getting us a couple of gin and tonics whilst we settled at our table, he also told us the history of the building as well. Before we even saw the menus a plate turned up with a couple of light snacks salmon on small bread pontoons and cheese covered in herbs on sticks. David then took us through the wine list and we agreed a bottle to go with our tastes. Then came a small jug containing a pea soup with chopped pieces of apricots in it, both excellent and still not seen the menu yet.Daivid took us through the menu dish by dish explaining exactly what they were and what was included with them, we ordered pasta de canard and rissoles de foie gras for starters, followed by Agneau des pres (lamb) and the Sole saisie which was boned at the table, we didn't consider deserts as we were so full, I did however finish off with a coffee and we washed it all down with a bottle of Prieure la Solitude.It was quite a large bill but you pay for quality like this, before we left the chef/owner came out and spoke with us as well.Most definately on our must visit again list
Excellent service, great location (next to the center of the student nighlife of Amiens), classic French cuisine. No surpises, on the more expensive side (more suitable for business dinner)
