5th Avenue Deli - Anchorage

Terrible food combined with rude service, and extremely overpriced. Would avoid.

I simply walked up to the counter to order a burger and nodded hello and in a rude manner he asked what I wanted and when I told him he practically threw my cup toward me and it fell over the counter and he picked it up and then slammed the cover and straw into the cup and set the cup upright!!!no apologies or anything from him.i simply said you know what nevermind and then walked away.one star for service.

I 've been coming here for so many years and I 've honestly never been let down. Quick, tasty food. Even though it feels like every other shop is dying and leaving the mall, 5th Avenue Deli has stayed strong. I remember in years gone by the owner/operator would stand behind the counter shouting Cheeseburger, cheeseburger! Halibut, halibut! My family still randomly says that to each other. Good memories. We stopped by and got some gyros and sandwiches. Everything was hot and fresh. The gentleman helping us was so excited and enthusiastic to help. It was a real treat to see how happy he was. That made the experience special. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
