Campobello Bistro - Anchorage

The food was great, as usual. However, the service was surprisingly slow. I had to get up and tell the waiter when we were ready to order, and to give him my payment. He did provide water just as I was about to do that. He was very pleasant and helpful, just seldom nearby. I suspect the problem was that you were understaffed (just 2 waiters for the usual full lunch crowd); I hope that isn't a harbinger of the future.

We went to celebrate a birthday and mentioned that in our booking yet no one at the restaurant even acknowledged it. The restaurant was pretty empty but we were seated next to a rather small but loud table of women. I've ordered the same exact sandwich for many, many years (so long it's almost embarrassing it wasn't prepared the same way it normally is possibly a new chef? (Chicken Saltimbocca I'll still go back, often in fact, just this last visit wasn't what I have experienced in the past. However, I really do like the server we had (by now I should know his name . Tall man, facial hair has been there for a long, long time... When I'm not seated in his section I sometimes feel disappointed. If Campobello's reads this, I still really miss Dino :

Campobello never disappoints! Reasonable price for a quality meal. The service was wonderful as well.

Seafood crepe is outstanding. And it is always a good idea to check out the daily specials
