We had high hopes after reading the previous reviews but wish we had gone elsewhere To charge £6.50 for a baked potato that was the size of a child's fist with only butter was poor form Will go elsewhere next time
Had a late lunch at this lovely little teashop which is set right in the heart of Historic Kirriemuir ... namely the Town Square. We had the most beautiful home-made fare of Soup and Sandwich the better of which you will look hard to find. Served by a lovely, elegant waitress, Louise, Karen, the owner, and her daughter, Mya, we finished our lunch with, again, a marvellous in-house-created chocolate cake and tea ... and agreed our bill was very reasonable indeed. Granny Anny Mays is a quirky tea shop for people who like something real, no gimmicks, about their choice of eaterie. There, too, is a grand range of fairly inexpensive gifts for sale, decorating the interior ... all coupled with the palpable cheer and idle chat of the staff and customers alike, this is clearly a very busy business with Pleasing the People on its Agenda and at its Core.
Decided to try this bright cheery cafe for a spot of lunch with my daughter my parents. So glad we did as the food was delicious, the prices good the service was really lovely friendly. Also some really nice little gifts. This was our 1st visit but will most definately not be our last.
We visited this small cafe for afternoon coffee and cakes. It's right in the middle of Kirriemuir and looks out towards the statue of Peter Pan. The staff member was friendly and welcoming and there was a limited selection of cakes on offer. My slice of cake was a bit on the dry side but it was late afternoon on a warm summer day. The cakes tasted good and the shop was pleasant and quiet.
