The coffee is the real deal, and the best you will find in the area.. the food is excellent value/money balance and the owners are just the most friendly people.. they offer rooms too! So don’t hesitate to pay them a visit
I rarely give a 5 star review but the hospitality and passion of the owners, coupled with the phenomenal talent of the chef (dad) mean it warrants it. Bluebird is a small and simple restaurant but the standard of food matches the finest South Indian restaurants in London. We actually ate here 3 of our 4 nights in the area... regretting the night we did not as nowhere else matched up. The menu is varied but the Chefs passion is Goan food. We tried Pork vindaloo Aubergine vindaloo Goan Prawn and Okra curry Dahl Fry Butter Chicken Various breads and rices The Goan good was delicious and each dish had well balanced flavours showcasing hot, sweet and sour. The dahl fry was hands down the best I've ever eaten and I eat dahl A LOT. I'm hoping if chef sees this he might send me the recipe... I actually if they had time to do a paid cooking class but sadly not on this occasion. My husband said the butter chicken was delicious. He ordered it twice! The vindaloo was a flavour sensation. We will definitely miss the food and Bluebord would honestly be the reason I'd consider a return visit to the area!
I had a prawn curry with okra in the very first day in Goa. It might be one of the most delicious prawn dishes I've ever tried. You have to eat it too.
This is the place with Tandoor tawa. We had ordered Tandoori chicken and it was best. We came back for it but was closed that day. The environment was good and it was like Bombay local station. Bar was nice and Cold beer. Serving was well.
