Papa Johns - Ankeny

This is a lively place, but there is no excuse for the wrong pizza in the box. Only 1 of the last 3 times I ordered an N.Y-style pizza I actually got one. 1 was the N.Y style I ordered, 1 was an original crust, and one was a thin crust pizza.

Waited an hour longer than the time they told us, then said we had to wait 30 minutes more. the app has just spun and not updated. 2 other people in the load were in the same situation. there were at least 6 people working so it was not likely that a shortage of workers. in short, we had to cancel our order, as the person before and after us.

Pizza was an hour too late. they wanted to pick them up, they told me it was 30 minutes. came back over 30 minutes later and it ended half an hour until it was done. of course no discount. they have been late before, so I do not give them the advantage of the doubt. they don't spend their money here.

Extremely slow. I understand it's Saturday night-- but was quoted twice wrong. they win at the delivery, decided to pick up, quoted another 20 minutes and go to a full 2 hours now. I'm still waiting, not short, there are 10 people here, not impressed. Edit: they have compiled the order.

Their pizza is incredible! Whitney was very helpful, friendly, and patient; I would definitely recommend!
