Not crowded before Golden Week, with only 2 groups inside. Ordered a set meal. The kama meshi (pot-cooked rice) was delicious, and the miso soup had a nice flavor. Satisfied with the meal. You can take your leftovers home, so ask the staff for a plastic bag.
I'm glad I finally got to try this restaurant I've been wanting to visit for a while. They only serve Kama-meshi set meals (1500 yen) here, and it was delicious with quail eggs, apricots, and teriyaki chicken among other ingredients. The slightly firm rice was a perfect match. Occasionally, you can hear the whistle of a locomotive from the nearby Railway Cultural Village, which adds a nice touch. It was truly delicious. I will definitely go back if I have the chance. Thank you for the meal.
I had mistaken that it was a specialty from Nagano Prefecture, as it was previously sold at Suwako SA in Nagano Prefecture. This time, I wanted to visit the main store so I went there. It was only when I went there that I realized it was located at Yokokawa Station. I heard that you can also eat kama meshi in the restaurant. It was delicious and satisfying, I would definitely want to eat it again.
