For Annecy the prices were very reasaonable but this, for me, was no hidden gem. We were the only people in the restaurant but the service was dire. The person serving was more interested in their mobile phone. The food portions were smaller than I expected and the quality dissapointing.
Quite a traditional menu but well cooked and delicious. Service is friendly and fast. Nice atmosphere and not too expensive.
Having despaired of finding a reasonably priced, healthy and tasty meal we were pleasantly surprised to find Fan House deliver on all our needs. Served by a wonderfully pleasant young lady on a Wednesday evening with very few patrons, we ordered chicken spring rolls, beef/chicken samosas and a beef satay stir fry all of which were fabulous. I cannot rate our meals highly enough. We are Asian food fanatics and while this restaurant is probably a fusion of different Asian influences, who cares when the meals are so good. Back home this style of Asian food is now very popular with traditional Chinese restaurants serving a mixture of Chinese, Vietnamese and Thai dishes. I think it's great. i would definitely recommend this tiny little restaurant, tucked away in a quiet laneway to anyone wanting a terrific Asian meal. 5 stars!
After spending 7 years in China, I was told about this restaurant as being held by Chinese and for once serving Chinese cuisine (and not nem and other specialties of South Asia).Damn... well the waiter and the boss are Chinese, you are served with samosa and skewers with sate out of the micro wave. When you ask for the simplest dishes of Chinese cuisine like toned eggs And if someone has an address for real Chinese cuisine in the corner I'm a taker
