Kamouraska - Annecy

A very nice discovery! I was walking at the end of a beautiful sunny afternoon. The shops had just closed, I was looking for a wine bar to take the aperitif before returning to Megève. And there, while I 'arpente the arcades of Filaterie Street, my eyes fall completely by chance on small panels indicating kamouraska restaurant caviste. I go in the small covered passage that leads to the foot of the cathedral and this is where I discover the place. A singing Quebec accent reaches my ears, while I admire the places. The layout is simple but very trendy: a large shelf filled with wines on the right, a huge table d'hôtes in the center, an electric organ at the bottom, some lacquered iron tables on the terrace, overlooked by Thai parasols. I ask myself, order a glass of Calabria wine (red) and this is the beginning of a very pleasant experience. Very unexpected agreements between certain dishes (beautiful and very fresh oysters bathing in a cold soup of orties and radishes, for example) but each time there is always a good balance between tastes and flavors. At the same time there is a lot of authenticity and subtlety in this kitchen. The wine that is offered to accompany the dishes is incredibly in harmony (I'll learn later that my host is a sommelier in trade, it doesn't surprise me). The alley that runs along the cathedral is really charming, especially when the luminaires start to light. The birds stopped singing. I realize that I should have taken a little jacket because the temperatures are falling quickly this early May and the surroundings of the cathedral are also a fresh haven in the summer. But I was very nicely brought a wool shawl and it was perfect. Kamouraska is a very nice address, so where you eat very healthy while surprising and flattering your taste buds.

Good organic and local products, much taste and zero waste. Superb location in the old town of Annecy and very nice service.

Superb address, a bowl of top rice with local products and a hand-managed service. The perfect place to find forces after a trail morning.

On a square outside the city center tumult. A pleasant and smiling service of a charming lady. For organic, local and zero waste. And all for a reasonable price. (sandwich about 9.5€)

A small nugget in the heart of the old town, a warm and friendly place with a single large table in the restaurant. A smiling cook, pleasant and good advice deliciously cooking well elaborate, refined dishes, sought after with original flavors. A random stop that will undoubtedly renew itself.
