Fernando's Grill - Antigonish

All the food was awesome, were from New York and we loved some great authentic Portuguese food and some amazing fish cakes!

Good battered seafood and fish. Other grillables too. I particularly recommend the seafood platter. At least if you're hungry.

Although the main highway now passes this place by, it is worth your time to take the old #4 to dine here. Our First visit was yesterday and we stopped on a whim. Clean, bright and the special of the day was 2 fo 1 fish and chips which were fine. The desserts are excellent, tastefully displayed and served in generous portions. Well worth it for the desserts alone! When working in downtown Antigonish we will take the time in the future to run out here for a working lunch. Hope they can make a go of it.

The dragonbird is now being operated by fernandos grill...it is run by a sincere pair of entrepreneurs good intentioned portions of great lite battered fish and meticulously fresh cut fries...beer is now served to appropriately seated diners with all of the attained atmosphere of owners

My wife and I visited Fernando's this weekend and loved the food. We chatted with the owners. I was interested in the Portuguese fish cakes but choose the pork instead which was amazing. Prior to leaving Fernando cooked up 2 fish cakes so we could take them with us at no charge!!! Wow they were amazing. Will definitely stop by again, good luck with your little gem!! Thank you
