Mex Kal Family Mexican - Arbuckle

I'm giving this place five stars because they went above and beyond to accommodate a bunch of us out of towners. From the Yelp map I can see that's correct, but for some reason the address that we had to get there was for the restaurant next door and we were so confused! Priscilla went out of her way to make sure that we could find the place, standing outside of the restaurant and looking for us. She saved our lives! We need a bathroom, a brunch, and we found everything we needed here. They have great French toast, chilaquiles, custom burritos, and yummy potatoes. The Jamaica had quite a bit of sugar in it, more than our Los Angeles style, so I got a giant glass of water and mixed it together. Extra hydration : I would come here again in a heartbeat. The ambience is great, the people are so nice, the service and the food or a great too especially when you're in the middle of nowhere on a road trip.

I went with a party of 2 and waited over an hour for our food. There was only one other table occupied and we did not order much. Overall dissatisfied with the speed of service.

HITS THE SPOT!! GOOD SALSA AND GOOD MEATS!! I called in around 8pm and put in a to-go order, and was told it would be ready in 20 minutes. When my husband arrived it was clear where to go and they keep their restaurant clean. He didnt have to wait, our order was ready to be picked up. We fed 3 people under $30, without drinks. That's pretty nice if you ask me! We ordered carnitas and asada and both were delicious My husband said he would have preferred a little more meat on his torta and the salsa a little more spicy but that is our only suggestion. My son ordered a super burger and loved everything. His burger looked good and his fries were a good portion. I had their enchilada taco combo and the carnitas enchilada was delicious. The sauce was amazing and even though my husband said it could use some salt, I preferred it perfectly how it was! I also had an asada taco and that paired with the salsa was a perfect choice to hit the spot! Rice, beans and salad were all pretty basic but still good. We really enjoyed this place and unfortunately we were so excited we didn't take photos before eating it all. ‍ Next time.

Staff lacks customer service skills. Especially the young girls their crappy attitudes. If you don't want to be there then get a new job, that simple. Food takes a minimum of at least 30 minutes even for one burrito. Save your lunch time and go to the taco truck across from chevron.

Stopped here for dinner. Everything was really good Family owned by nice People. Some of the best Mexican food I've ever had.
