We didn’t expect the level of attention they gave us for a fast-casual spot. I understand it may be difficult for some to communicate with staff, since they did not seem to speak English, but the food would have been worth it even if we had trouble communicating. The tacos plate was an excellent price, with three (hefty) tacos, rice, and beans for $7.99. We were all satisfied and happy with the affordability as financially-challenged college students. Come for an authentic experience (yes, this means the staff may have trouble communicating and may not be as warm due to language barrier) with great food and great prices! Very quick and efficient service.
This place is nothing Mexican and wants to sell considering that it is Mexican food and it doesn't taste good. This place is therefore dead, not even a fly stops, and Honduras sells those that you know, you don't know, you don't know ?????????
I ordered 10 tacos total and the price was very decent ! They were so nice and the best barbacoa I've had in a while. I have to drive to oak cliff for good tacos and they're more expensive. They need more custos ! Vegetarian options: My daughter will not eat meat for sum reason, but they gave us extra salsa, onion and cilantro because they saw that's all she was wanting to eat ? Kid-friendliness: They were so nice to my daughter, they have high chairs booster seats even tho my lil girl sat with us the whole time
I recently visited Taco Rico, excited to try their tacos, but left deeply disappointed. The most striking issue was the size of the tacos they were unexpectedly mini, resembling a child's portion rather than an adult meal. This was surprising and quite unsatisfying. The language barrier added to the frustration. The staff's inability to communicate in English made it challenging to place an order or inquire about menu items. While I appreciate cultural diversity, effective communication in customer service is essential, especially in a diverse community. Additionally, my order was incorrect. Despite attempting to clearly convey what I wanted, the language barrier possibly contributed to this mix up. Receiving the wrong food only compounded the disappointment of the small portions. In summary, my experience at Taco Rico was far from what I had hoped. From mini sized tacos to communication issues and a wrong order, it was a series of letdowns. I hope this feedback is seen as constructive and leads to improvements for future customers
