The server was unbelievably friendly to our kids...who kept giving her super hero stickers! Thank you. : My sons got some yummy items from the kids menu and I got a great ahi tuna salad. Awesome experience and we will be back!
The first time I ordered delivery from HB it was delicious-I had planned to give them a five star review. The goat cheese and arugula flatbread and the black bean burger were so surprisingly delicious the first time i tried them that I placed the same order again the following week. The black bean burger was still delicious, but sadly, instead of the thin crispy crust that I enjoyed in the flatbread the first time I had it, I received a fluffy and greasy flatbread pizza the second time around. I called and the manager took care of it. So I gave the flatbread a third try, chasing the first high , but it was super greasy again. Very sad. Maybe the cook changed? Maybe the flatbread usually doesn 't travel well? Maybe dining in is the better option? Who knows. But I will say this: the food is super flavorful and the flatbread definitely has rockstar potential-if only it has consistency.
I just recently found this place and am in love. When I first went I got the heritage tasting. What a great way to get introduced to their beers. I didn't have a single one I didn't like. The whiskey beer was a fun thing to try. I also loved their honey ginger beer! Their cocktails are also very strong and delicious. Make sure to try them!
Not that easy to find, there's comparatively small sign outside. Beautiful interior, very cosy, nice lighting. Local beers and wines. Average prices. The food selection is limited but the items we tried including burger and Niçoise salad were looking and tasting good. The place was overcrowded probably because it was Saturday evening. The service was OK. Long wait for food and the water at the table wasn't refilled.
Wasn 't sure what to expect here since I 've gotten tired of the whole farm to table gastropub where everything is organic and locally sourced and hand crafted by our mixologists blah blah thing. Luckily, this place is the real deal and worth a try. The burger is a bit expensive at $15 but it 's worth the cost and it will fill you up. It 's a 1/2 pound of beef with cheese, pickles, onion chutney and fries. At happy hour when I was there it came with a free beer. Their beers are all enjoyable but the Civil Works Honey Lager is best of them all. One interesting thing about this place is that it 's a neighborhood place with everyone from interns in their 20s to retirees in their 70s there on a Friday night. Staff is really friendly and down to earth and the place has a comfortable, low key vibe. I 'll come back here again for a beer and a burger, hope this place manages to hang around for a long time in the Bermuda Triangle that is Clarendon bars and restaurants.
