Golden Fleece - Asheville

WOW! How did we live in Asheville and not yet experienced Golden Fleece? Go for the Pimento cheese, sweet potato Bourbon-Mash, steak and the chocolate mousse! We went right because the Coronavirus concerns ran up, so the business was extremely slow. The staff was attentive, friendly, funny and very responsible with their cleaning plan. 10/10 would recommend!

One of my new favorites for lunch and dinner. The Trio Dip appetizer was delicious and perfect for two, like the Caesar salad with fresh white anchovies on Bib salad. The salmon was light and perfectly cooked. I also had her flatbread pizza (top for 2). Crispy crust and light. Beautiful cocktail and wine selection. I'm a fan.

The Golden Fleece offers a lovely pub/winery atmosphere, surrounded by the Auto Museum, art sculptures, and fiber arts studio. The ambiance was romantic and we decided to try their delicious Tapas menu. The lamb in phyllo, grilled shrimp in olive oil and spices with tatziki sauce, and pitas grilled for dipping were all outstanding. The Asheville brewed beer was a great start to the evening, followed by a large dessert that we had room for thanks to the lighter Tapas dishes. The restaurant has a Greek feel with the modern artistry of a top chef. Enjoy your meal!
