Marino's Fish Beaver Road - Ashford

Last night a group of 12 adults and a toddler had an evening out. We had a great meal at Merino's. The food was great and the service fantastic. Obviously with that number of people there was the odd niggle but they were dealt with promptly, efficiently and with a smile. I can highly recommend Merino's.

I assumed the whitebait I ordered at the same time as fish and chips would be understood to be a starter, but everything arrived together. The small cod portion is extremely small for £9. Routinely asking for tomato sauce, I was most surprised to be charged £3.10 for a small glass of the sauce. But a glass of tap water was free.

Ordered standard Cod and Chips , the fish was OK but the chips were very poor , not worth the £11 for a take away .

We ordered a takeout of two large servings of cod and chips. The fish was huge and cooked to perfection, and the batter was exceptional!
