It is under a new incarnation however, Rail Hop 'n Brewing is now what the place is called. I will get into more details on that when I get to my Rail Hop 'n review as to why the name change. This review is dedicated strictly to my first experience... when it was under the name Wet Head . This brewery was located in a garage in a residential area in Auburn. I 'm always a little leery of going to someone 's house to drink craft beer... simply because it is a private home. I have never had a bad experience however with set ups like this so there is no justification in thinking that way and the home set ups often produce amazing beer! When I went to Wet Head I had the Buck Creek Bourbon Stout which was excellent! One of the owners served the beer and the vibe was extremely sociable and fun. I was sorry that I didn 't get to go back more often but the beer recipes that have been used here went on to another chapter... the chapter of Rail Hop 'n!
Billy was nice enough to give me a deal on some goodies for a charitable auction. The new swivel top bottles they are carrying are really cool and refillable. The beer is great, I usually go for the Amber or the Porter, but you should just go and try them all!
Excellent beers. Everything was between really good and excellent. Awesome concept--the neighborhood taproom. Friendly clientele, great community feel. I'll definitely come back!
Have yet to go try a beer they brew I don't like!!! I am a Mac and jacks lover and their slaughter Amber is even better!! No joke! I can't recommend a better place to watch Hawks games!!
Great time. Good beer. Will come back again next week. Looking forward to trying other beers they have.
