Portions were so small for what you pay. It was more art work. Took amazing pictures of the way it looked. Food was good what little I could eat, but hard to manage food allergies for myself. Service was really good.
I cannot rave about this experience enough. I took my wife here for her 30th birthday with a couple of friends and family and have never had another culinary experience that comes close to this; Chef Philip and his team absolutely knocked it out of the park. The food was top notch: creative, thought out, sourced locally, fresh, light, and the most delicious combinations of flavors textures. I could adjective vomit all-day long, but the only way for you to understand and appreciate it is to book a reservation NOW! Cheers, Root Food Wine, team, thank you for your hospitality.
We read reviews about the creative, tasty cuisine of this hidden gem. We came for lunch, sat out on the patio. Locally sourced products prepared in traditional dishes with a unique twist.. Went with the 3 course menu which included a cheeseburger option for the entree which was outstanding. Decent wine selection as well.
Root Food Wine was a journey of flavor combinations that I never thought of together. They work amazingly well together. Smooth and crunchy, salty and sweet, popcorn and chicken?… delicious! Everyone in our party had the seven course chefs tasting menu. Kirsten, our server, described the complex taste revelations as “a party in your mouth” and she was right. We loved the vintage look and welcoming staff. This is a top notch must try experience. All farm to table. Their sources are mostly local and all listed on the front of the menu. All of our drinks looked like works of art and, as the food, we’re all exemplary taste combinations. I’ve included, too many, pictures of everything we had. It’s easy to see why this up and coming chef is winning awards!
