Consistently excellent service and delicious food. This is a quintessential down-home restaurant at its finest.

I really enjoy the food at this restaurant, but I've noticed that it’s occasionally closed when it should be open. The website indicates that it's open, but then I find the restaurant closed. It would be helpful if you could update your posts to indicate when you'll be closed.

Today, I found myself driving through the area again and had to stop by one of our favorite spots—Melanie’s Family Restaurant. I ordered their freshly made chicken noodle soup and a Coke to go. I don’t know the name of the woman who took my order, but I recognized her kind face from our last visit. I love everything about this place: the people, the prices, the food, and the atmosphere. I really hope it’s around until I’m old and no longer able to travel. Great job, everyone! Until next time!

My wife and I stopped not expecting all that much from such an out of the way place. What a pleasant shock! My wife called it perfect comfort food and the prices are quite reasonable.
