I ordered a soft drink in the bar and I had to ask to get it in a glass I thought was surprising. it took a while to get the drink because they had the taste I wanted in the cellar or in a storage area and it had to be retrieved. the place was busy and for me this is a good indicator that it is a good place. I would definitely go back.
Flores has really gone down hill. We’ve been coming here a long time but we will be looking elsewhere for Tex Mex. The chips taste like stale cardboard, the “crispy” tacos are always soggy, the fajitas taste like boil-in-a-bag meat, and the salsa isn’t even spicy. The boracho beans and La Fluor margaritas are top notch though and the servers are always friendly.
Flores Mexican Restaurant has four locations around Austin and are known for their fajitas and margaritas. The queso is pretty good so you should also start there. The guac looked good as well. I ordered the camarones calientes (spicy shrimp) which were great! The fajitas are also good. I’m a fan of the tortillas! The churros sadly had too much cinnamon. It got 4 stars because the service wasn’t the greatest. The food overall was pretty good.

The best meal we had over a long weekend. Our food was fresh and delvered quickly. Good margaritas. I really wasn't hungry when I got there and cleaned my plate it was so good. Highly recommend'11
