If you can enjoy a long place where you can enjoy the traditional French accommodation and kitchen, this is the place to be. the hotel and restaurant are located directly in the city center of autun in an old but well maintained building. parking the...car is easy and the reception is very friendly. the rooms are in the location: stately rooms with lots of space and amenities. our room was very quiet given the fact that they are in the center of a city. the restaurant is really very good. it is like back to our French celebrated in the previous century: a very complete and tasteful 4 course menu and, like apotheosis, the choice a fair of about 25 different cheeses. everything is very tasty and the ile flottante impeccable. add a very complete breakfast and it becomes clear that when you visit autun, this is where you should stay!
The restaurant is absolutely great. a large choice, reasonable price for the quality and quantity of food. excellent wine list. fab cheeseboard. children welcome.
The menu is still the same price, but they only have about half on their teller. this is especially true for the main course, huh in mushroom engraving, it is more like a chicken bone in gravur. the service is in order, but not more than that....The wee, although a 'premier cru' was no more than average. overall, with regard to value ratio, it is no! we will not go back there (we often have to go.) if they stay in autun, they will find another restaurant.
Reviewers who call this 'the best dining in Autun ' can 't be far wrong. We ate breakfasts and major meals here over several days...and not for lack of having other choices. Travelers and plenty of local people choose to dine here. The dining room(s) are spacious...and cheerful, light-filled venues. Table linens are of good quality and the food is very, very good. Fresh and local with solid contemporary more than 'imaginative ' recipes dominate the menus. Prices are moderate and the wine list does credit to the region.
