L'Épicerie - Avignon

We stopped here for lunch, I had the beef and my partner had the lamb. Both really tasty. Perhaps a little heavy/much for a very hot summers day, but very delicious! The only place we were going afterwards was to sleep. The chips weren’t great, cold and a bit stale but that’s the only downside. The wine was nice, the service was good.

Very nice restaurant at the Place Saint Pierre. Very friendly staff and great food. The Plat du Jour was simple and yet tasty. Sitting outside was great.

Back to Avignon for the festival in July, we did not miss to go through the shop, and we were not disappointed. It's a little hot under the umbrellas at noon, but it's worth it: there's not a lot of choice, as some restaurants do during the festival, but 'show of the spruce is not to be missed, and this restaurant is located on a beautiful spot, away from the crowd.

A nice place, on a placette in the great calm and protected from sun umbrellas. interior decoration interesting and nostalgic with its old demands...Access and very well located. varied restoration, sun cooking salads and attractive aperitives. the ratio quality price is in the end quite Parisian, a salad with lots of greenery for 20 euros.

Well, I suppose everything tastes better when you have something like the facade of St Pierre church overlooking you, and it is a nice sunny day.My wife and I only had one dish, the same, an assembly of lots of different salad items with bruschetta and other stuff which was really interesting and very yummy.The staff were very efficient and combined a little bit of attitude with a lot of humour and all in all we had a very nice evening at reasonable price. What more can you ask for?
