It's definitely worth adding the chicken.I loved the presentation and portion size. The curry also looked amazing. If you're from this area I'm sure you already have this place in your rotation. If you are passing through trust The Elephant Trail to lead you to a great experience and a truly delicious meal. Thanks again!
When you look as white as I do it's hard to get a restaurant to serve you spicy food. I asked our waitress if I could get my meal spicy. She looked a little worried but said I could order it on a scale of 1 to 5. I asked for 5. She was more worried. She suggested 4 with some hot pepper sauce on the side and that's what I got. She was right and it was perfect. It was hot but still flavorful and not painful. The prices are reasonable especially considering the quality of the food. I will definitely be back.
Good food but expect your takeout to be 10+ mins late, even if you order off peak
I wanted to like this place but didn’t love it as much as I thought I would’ve. Everyone has their off days I understand but there seemed to be quite a few tables that had some issues. I thought it was a cute and cozy atmosphere but unfortunately I did not have the best experience. The waitress refilled my fiancés water 2 times but not mine at all, not even once. Okay- not that big of a deal. When we first got to the restaurant, no one even looked at us for 15-20 minutes. My fiancé had finally gotten up to see what was going on. No one had apologized at all about the wait. Then, it took almost an hour for my finances meal to come out. The chicken satay was great, a little salty. They made my order wrong, then my take out order they brought to the table. The entire thing was a mess honestly. Mixed reviews here. Unfortunately, I felt like it was one thing after the next dining here. If we come back we will do take out only do take out most likely.
Takeout review:I've had takeout twice from here and so far so good. I drive by it all the time, one of these days I'll drop in. The building looks pretty nice and nestled on the Farmington River. For starters, I always get the curry puffs which had mixed veggies, curry spices, in a puff pastry; these were so good dipped in their special sweet and tangy sauce. I'm a huge pad Thai fan so I had their chicken pad Thai and it was one of the best. The flavor and textures were on point. The second time, I had their crispy chicken pad Thai; I didn't like that one because the chicken wasn't crispy or flavorful and the noodles were very dry and flavorless. They might've had an off night? Judging on the first pad Thai meal I had, I know they have potential. Will I order from them again? Yes! Looking forward to trying out their other dishes too.
