Lahnblick - Balduinstein

The hotel has a beautiful new owner our rooms are modernized and very beautifully decorated. the personal would like to wish all feasible, is very friendly and accommodating. eating is delicious, rich and cheap. from the beer garden they look over the lahn to soonuinstein. we liked it here very well and we like to come back

Great location, bad condition. room more than for renovation, exterior construction, inside restaurant ok. they can only wish the new operator a lot of mut and money to bring the whole hotel to the top. very friendly staff.

We stayed at lahnblick with 7 people on a Saturday evening in August 2016. the terrace was about half filled. after 15 minutes waiting time we got the menus and ordered a drink. when the drinks were brought after about another 15 minutes, I did not get the ordered radler, but a pils. on the demand whether the fitness salat contains nuts (bin allergy) did not understand the service, but only meant that it would understand little German and don't know nuts. I went to the house to ask and order. we also ordered a portion pommes and a tomato cheese baguette. the baguette (tastefully not revealing) and the food of the others came after about half an hour. our friend had a rumpsteak, which was unfortunately so tough that it could hardly be cut. the rumpsteak went back. a little later the chef (and at the same time cook) who attacked our friend verbally because she left the rumpsteak back. the boss/cook was really loud, so the other guests were also aware of it. After the boss/cook had made it clear that the rumpsteak is definitely to be paid, he went back. half an hour later, the chief/cook appeared again and apologized half-heartedly. then he went to me why I had left the salat back (I hadn't been glad to finally get something to eat at the time) I should have asked before order whether there were nuts in there instead of letting the salat go back. obviously a misunderstanding that could hardly be solved without screaming from him. in order to eat something on the evening again I ordered the salat the still missing portion pommes we did not order again because it was now around 21.15 clock and it was shady on the terrace. against 22.00 we assumed that the salat had been forgotten again and wanted to go the salat still came. the chicken strips in the salate were partly very cold and tasted as if they were just warmed up with the microshaft. Otherwise the salat was quite ok, but certainly not worth the 9,50 euro. we were happy when we were finally able to pay (the services are obviously not allowed to accept money, but only the chef accordingly takes it). I noticed that the salat was calculated with 10 euro instead of the 9,50 euro. overall it was the worst restaurant I ever had. our friend, who had proposed the lahnblick, was very embarrassing (although she couldn't do anything for it). we will not go back to the lahnblick and cannot recommend it. Beautiful opposite, cozy hotel. you can really relax. (y)

A good opportunity to come back for cycling and trips in the beautiful lahntal! because the small village soon has several restaurants, but the others are all on the side of the village and the ruins and they do not even have a look at the lahn. only the cafe-restaurant landblick is located on the other side of the lahn, so with views of the village and the romantic burgruine and it has an elevated terrace so that they have a beautiful view of the river and the landscape. we were served very friendly, the portions were very large and the price-performance ratio really good. for example, the salat plate with marinated putenbrust strips as well as the tinted fish rings on salat. approaching tip: this is good to see from the village on the opposite side – but not when they drive the road directly in front of the restaurant because it is elevated. quickly they went by hand. when they drive over the lahnbrücke, turn left, then it quickly arrives on the right side, parking directly on the road. well to recognize on the stone-balcony high above the road, leads a staircase to the local. add-on tip: there are some very bad reviews in the net, but they come from the time before the operator change, the current owners are only at a local location. but the landscape is very beautiful and you can at least look at the castle from outside.
