Royal Farms - Baltimore

The fried chicken at this place is outstanding. It's quick and convenient, allowing you to get in and out effortlessly. Located just steps from the Inner Harbor and The Charm’tastic Mile, it’s an ideal spot for grabbing a coffee or soft drink. It's perfect for the downtown scene.

The restaurant is situated in the heart of downtown Baltimore. However, there is no free parking available, and the area often attracts a number of homeless individuals who gather to ask for spare change. Additionally, the establishment seems to have a limited selection of items on its shelves.

This is easily the worst Royal Farms franchise in Baltimore. The chicken was undercooked and had an unpleasant odor, and there were feathers all over it. The drink selection was disappointing, which is surprising since Royal Farms usually offers a wide variety. Additionally, the store itself was dirty. I wouldn't recommend this location to anyone, not even my worst enemy.

I visited the Royal Farms on Light Street in Baltimore, and I've consistently found their chicken and fries to be overly salty. It seems like the coating is already seasoned, but they add even more salt during cooking. I’ve never encountered this issue at any other Royal Farms. I'm not sure why this location has changed with Uber Eats and Postmates, but I’m disappointed about it. I hesitantly placed an order anyway and regretted it— the food was just too salty to enjoy.

I absolutely adore the regular fried chicken from Royal Farms, and since I volunteer nearby, I find myself stopping in almost every time. However, lately, I've noticed that almost every order has a hint of the spicy version. Since I'm not a fan of their spice mix, it's become a frustrating waste of money. This has happened on several visits in a row, which leads me to believe there isn't a clear process in place to keep the two recipes separate. Unfortunately, because of this, I've decided I can no longer buy Royal Farms chicken.
