Stanley's Smokehouse

Horrible service- waiting to get a drink or food for 30 minutes. No one coming to the table.

Just don't. Views are good but the food is not. Food is not the main attraction in this part of the world but Stanley's is a step below mediocre. The Canadian Rockies are breathtaking and you are surrounded here so that is the bright side!

Not a hidden jewel of any kind for us! Our waitress was nice, but she was new and didn't know much about the menu. She didn't check on us much either. The striploin was overcooked so it was ordered again. Again, it was overcooked. The chicken/ribs were overcooked as well and it was difficult to get down. Just not a good experience and we were bummed :

Hidden Jewel. Stanley Smokehouse Fairmont golf course has great smoked meals and we enjoyed a full rack of ribs with 2 sides and Happy hour beer. Very good food, large portions and reasonable prices with spectacular panoramic mountain views and glass all around. Even saw a couple groups of elk. We highly recommend passing up on the classic Fairmont Restaurants for this right on the golf course.

Ok I had to respond to the review that appeared before this one. My wife and I stayed at the Fairmont and loved the food and experience we witnessed here. We are from Norther California and know what we speak of.
