I visited during live music events and competitions, making it a fantastic place to hang out. The outdoor fire pit was also a nice touch.
This little gem is the absolute place to stop in during a day at Lake Louise. During warmer weather and especially during spring skiing the Kabin is a gong show. If you are looking for an exciting, beer-fueled après experiences this is the place to be. Most week-ends the Kabi has live bands and DJ's. The terrain park pro-line is right by the Kabin so you get watch some of the best boarders and skiers send it and take flight on the largest jumps east of whistler. These guys don't mess around if you want to double fist beers go ahead, you want your own jug of ice cold kokanee and don't wanna share...go ahead. Remember no smoking on the patio and don't go through the pro-line park after a few jugs- the beer has given you confidence, not jets.
Stopped here amid a snow storm up the mountain. Needed to warm up, and had a lovely hot chocolate. Ordered the mac n cheese and it was nothing short of disgusting! What a disappointment. Maybe it would have been a nicer place to stop if we were sat on the patio in the sun.
On a sunny day, this restaurant has great potential with a large crowd enjoying drinks outdoors. The large wooden deck offers plenty of seating and a BBQ, while a cozy wooden hut with a bar and heating provides a warm option for those seeking shelter from the cold. On chilly days, it's best to stay inside to enjoy a beer or meal.
Staff here were pretty offhand (unusual in Lake Louise it must be said) and our coffee less than average. Not recommended on the basis of this visit.
