For those who love hearty Eastern European foods! And those who like good prices with decent sized portions that would feed a wildebeest!I was out here for dinner yesterday with a mate. They have this new restaurant. The prices were what lured me, as well as Polish food being some of my favourite dishes but the food here is killer. We booked through the Polish Club google reservations as they are using Quandoo. It’s a nice little restaurant that seats about 50 people and it feels really homely.I had the Chicken Schnitzel for $24 which was perfectly cooked, good battering and not oily at all. It came with a side of potatos, vegetables and a separate plate of 2 different Polish salads, one was like a finely minced beetroot salad and I can’t recall what the other one was but it was tasty. My friend had the Pork Fillet with Mushrooms for $29 and I tried a bit of that and again, phenomenal. The sauce was great, mushrooms cooked perfectly and the pork just melted in your mouth. He had the 0% Lomza non-alcoholic but they also have a good range of 500ml beers, that’s like the only sizes they have in their Polish range and they cost about $9 each which is good for the quantity. Just be careful with the Warka Strong Pilsner at 6.3%, It hit me hard since I hadn’t eaten a lot earlier.I will definitely be coming back and next time to try the pork knuckle. A
Haven’t eaten authentic Polish food for a while, my wife took me out for dinner here and it was just lovely! Our waitress was super nice, loved to hear how young people can still speak beautifully in their mother language! The food was delicious. Oh, the soups were incredible, especially żurek! Żubrówka apple juice, can’t go wrong. Finished off with an apple pie.Thank you for a great service and delicious food!
Very intimate, very friendly. And the food was amazing!
Fantastic authentic Polish cuisine served in a cozy, home-style restaurant. The website may imply a more contemporary vibe, but don’t be deterred by that. When we arrived, it was quite empty, but later we discovered that they were actually closed for the day! The Polish beer was excellent. I highly recommend the Hungarian Potato Cakes and the Meat Croquettes, which are accompanied by a deliciously spicy warm borscht. Enjoy your meal!
