Feedback gevenI used to eat here very often. The menu changed, prices hiked and people stopped going. It has been closed for a while now. The restaurant that replaced it is terrible. Overpriced Italian food that wasn't tasty at all. Shame Shuga closed.
During the event, there was no background music, which created an awkward and quiet atmosphere. The lack of cooling made the air hot and smokey. The food was disappointing as well. The tasting platters had minimal food and lacked seasoning, with bland eggplant chips and dry cheese. The orange juice was watered down and had a bitter taste. The main Greek platters had lamb that smelled off and tasted old. Overall, our experience at Shuga was a complete waste of money. The manager appeared to prioritize himself and was often missing in action. There was no communication to check on our needs or the quality of the food. We suggest going to Roxy Kebab down the road for fresh, tasty food at better prices.
A big thank you to the chefs Shane and Dean for always presenting great tasty meals and the breakfast here is fantastic. The staff are friendly and always make you feel welcomed. Great job to the 2 chefs and to the rest of the staff, keep up the great work.
Been here a number of times, a lot of group gatherings as well as small family ones. food is always good.
Tonight I had taken out my wife and kids for Mother’s Day dinner as it’s a special day, unfortunately I made a mistake by taken them to this restaurant. The reasons why I am very disappointed is because we had to wait 1 hour for our entrée, and on top of that another 20 minutes for the main meal. In total we waited for 1 hour and 20 minutes for our meals. My kids were hungry and were looking forward to having a special meal with their mum on this day. At no stage were we advised that our meals were late, or to see how we were going. Just poor service...This was until I had to get up and ask the waitress on how long we had to continue to wait. I would have assumed that the owner / manager would have attended to the table and apologised for the inconvenience. Instead, the owner hid behind the counter pretending that everything was OK. If it wasn't for the lovely waitress who was sincere to the problem I would have taken the family and left the restaurant. The owner should be embarrassed with his leadership skills as he is setting a terrible example of customer service to his employees. Overall, I spent my last $179- with you and will NOT recommend this restaurant to anyone, nor my family or friends.
