An old fashioned icecream parlour with great espresso coffee drinks and a big selection of Chocolate Shoppe Icecream. Friendly service and samples.
We visited Baraboo on Sunday of Memorial Day Weekend 2022. The Dells and Lake Delton were covered up with people, so we went exploring. In a search for iced coffee on google, almost every suggestion showed closed at 2:30 PM.We found this cute ice cream parlor and coffee bar on the court house square of downtown. There was no iced coffee on the menu, but they offered to make them for us. However since they dont have chilled coffee available, they brewed 2 cups of coffee and poured it over ice.It was initially served in hot coffee cups with sipper lids. Since the ice had already melted, I asked if we could have cold cups filled with ice, that we could just pour it over, so that it would be cold. They gladly accommodated. We sat in there for about 20 min enjoying the flavorful fresh brewed coffee and watched a constant stream of visitors getting ice cream. A young couple shared a milkshake, a five year old danced with her gummy worm sunday all the way to the table. Some came for the ice cream and a few for coffee. All seemed to leave with a smile. The staff was friendly, the place was clean...even the bathrooms, and the atmosphere was tastefully old-school. It wasn't as easy as a drive thru at a commercial chain, but then you wouldn't have the great experience and the opportunity to support a local business. Thanks for the great customer service and Good Coffee!
Love this place. Yesterday the worker interacted with my 18 month old niece in a fun way. As always a very welcoming staff.
I bought my first bag of Spirit Lake Coffee at the Palatine (IL Farmer's Market. The Bourbon Barrel Aged coffee is absolutely outstanding, and unlike any other coffee I've tasted. It has a subtle nutty quality that is great by itself or blended with another favorite roast. You may pay a bit more for this coffee, but you definitely will know (and enjoy! where that extra money went! I now am eager to try other Spirit Lake coffees. Service for online orders is excellent; Ryan (one of the owners called back within 30 minutes to answer a question about my order (thank you! . Baraboo, WI is located right off of I-90/94 (north of Madison , so you also can stop at Got Kitsch?, The Grainery or Tin Roof Dairy to buy in person. Keep on roastin', guys!
