Cerveceria 6 Grifos - Barbate

The most disgusting tuna and french fries I had in my life. Having heard that the town is famous for its tuna dishes, we made a detour on the way to Cadiz and picked this restaurant. First of all, the waiter and the restaurant manager didn't speak or even understand ANY ENGLISH AT ALL. I could have spoken Mandarin Chinese, and they could understand me just as well. We ordered two tuna steaks dishes and some salad, but what we received was a terribly soggy, oily and undercooked french fries I had in my life, and 5 ! SLICES of tuna each. A total joke. When we complained about our fries and asked for another portion, we got the second one, as soggily oily as the first one. We were totally disappointed and asked the manager, and demanded to pay half the price, to which he agreed or I guess he did, as he didn't seem to get any English . A total embarassment- had I known, I would have went to the supermarket and eaten a piece of bread and a smoked mackerel instead of trying out this joint.

Waiter was more interested in sitting, chatting to a fellow customer/friend than serving us. I kept asking him how long it would be I am a fluent Spanish speaker). Food was very expensive for what you get, fish was tasteless and overpriced. Views from adjacent car park nice over the estuary. Can get better meals with better service and better price elsewhere. Surroundings Ok but off the beaten track.

This restaurant is off the beaten track, over near the river. It is located in a cute little plazuela under a tent with lights. The food was good even my picky teenagers tried everything!! The wait staff was very attentive. Our waiter was very knowledgable about the area and how the seafood is caught and prepared. We did have a bit of trouble with some mosquitos, but we just passed the afterbite around.

Un lugar muy aconsejable como restaurante con un servicio muy agradable y profesional en un local muy característico y productos de 10 cocina muy elaborada y espectacular

La comida estaba bien aunque de cantidad justita. El servicio era pésimo. Aunque los camareros eran amables, faltaba personal y al final nos quedamos con hambre porque no nos pusieron varios platos que ordenamos repetidamente. No repetiría
