Update 28/03/24 As below!! Still the best chippy for miles. Update 30/06 Still cracking value, friendly staff, and massive portions....oh, and it tastes great too. Best chippy in the area. The food here was extremely tasty, and the portions plentiful. They've put covid measures in place, including perspex screens and limited numbers inside at any one time. I ended up queuing outside as it was so popular. I would therefore highly recommend that you book in advance, as they have a separate serving area for collections. The one crisis about this place is they appeared to do little to encourage people to wear face coverings. Despite being in the highest tier, the majority of people going into the shop didn't wear masks very disappointing. If they'd attempted to address this then they would have received 5 stars.

This was my first time at this restaurant and I was not disappointed. The long line of people waiting at the door at 1pm on a Saturday afternoon was a good sign. The specials menu offered great value for money with generous portions of freshly cooked food. The staff were friendly and helpful, guiding me through my options. The food tasted as delicious as it looked, and I struggled to finish it all. I will definitely be coming back and have no hesitation in recommending this chip shop. It's hard to find a good chippy, but this place is a great traditional option.

The restaurant is always delightful, with reasonably priced menu items. The staff consists of friendly and pleasant ladies.

Checked on website that it was open. This as happened 3 times now. My husband went down and it was closed. Very poor. If having a website it needs to be continually updated.
