La Girolata - Barranquilla

La Girolata staff was wonderful and the food was also excellent! We were so lucky to get a last minute reservation after another dinner plan has failed. Plan B was so much better than the original plan we are grateful! Very recommended! Beautiful ambience, welcoming hosts and staff and delicious food can't go wrong!

A business dinner in this restaurant in one of its large private rooms. My main course was very good, but the appetizers were really amazing.

We just went to La Girolata (a table of four). Still on the questionable quality of food at the moment. A short impression: We ordered three carpaccios: di manzo, vitello tonnato and salmon. The salmon was smoked and not fresh, definitely from a package. Manzo was on average, still too much cheese and not Alcaparas. We noticed a strange color of veil (dark, not fresh) and the sauce ported a strange color. Everything was too salty. For the main course we ordered a lasagna and a beef the Lomo with red whisky sauce. The red wine sauce was sweet and definitely prefab. Meat was ok, vegetables overcooked and unseasonal. The lasagna will make an Italian shrine. Sauce was too thin and tasted as if it came from a multinational prefab soup package. We ordered an additional pasta (spaghetti) as a supplement. Pasta was boiled (especially not al dente) and left in butter. The plate was seasoned with dried parsly. Unfortunately, the pasta was not. The highlight of the evening was the service and the Tiramisu (for everything they offered us before) We will certainly not come back...

Beautiful place with nice Italian food, the presentation will make you love the dish. The food is average, nice but not great. The modern decoration provides a good environment to enjoy a bottle of wine.

This is a good Italian restaurant in a very nice allocation. Good pasta and with what I most appreciate... a very good service. Maybe the prices are a bit elevated, but still in range according to the quality, service and allocation.
