The Quarry Kitchen Spirits - Barre

I want it to be better here. I really do. The most popular spot in Barre Vermont for sure! But then again, they are often the only place open... Perpetually understaffed, the kitchen is craaaazy slow. Some food comes out tepid, while other plates are so hot we get a warning... probably reheated under the salamander or in microwave last minute. The food is fine, when served promptly: burgers and fries, fish and chips, typical tavern fare. Our waitress, during our last visit, was really nice.

I had chicken parm. It was my Mother's Day gift. The chicken was so tough it was almost inedible! I was so disappointed as this restaurant was so highly recommended.....happy Mother's day to me Service: Take out Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $30–50

Wonderful service but the mac and cheese was not good. It was the most bland mac and cheese I have ever had the breadcrumbs did not help at all. I'm sure they have other good foods, but not their mac and cheese. It was also quite expensive for such terrible mac. Meal type: Lunch Price per person: $20–30

I ordered a turkey quarry club sandwich, but they only put a small amount of turkey on it. I was very disappointed with the lack of filling. I would have posted a picture, but unfortunately, that option is not available. The delivery service was average, and the meal was for dinner. The price per person was $10-20. Overall, I would rate the food, service, and atmosphere a 2 out of 5.
