Baymont By Wyndham Barstow Historic Route 66

The price was excellent. The rooms were clean and well maintained. Outside was clean and tidy. We had a microwave, a fridge, a TV, a hairdryer, a place to hang clothes. They had a washing machine and a dryer for guests. The city has grown a lot in the last 40 years.

This place is a jewel... Willie at the reception was great... I called in advance to make sure there was enough space for my truck with a 40 foot trailer and he ensured that there was... He honored my Wyndham membership and made sure I was satisfied... There was a computer error in the morning, Maria (mgr) and Dilan (general mgr) took care of him without a problem... Clean rooms, very quiet, comfortable beds, what could you ask for more?? Breakfast could use some work, but after talking to Dilan, I think that will be addressed quite quickly... Hey Maria, smile a little more...lol Thanks for a great night and I'm back in the future...

Barstow was a riot. We saw crazy things going down in the 24 hours we were here. The children had hot cocoa and breakfast and swam in the pool. Reception staff was great. The restaurant Los domingos nearby is delicious.

I had to stay here for a night while my truck was repaired. There are about 8 hotels around the truckstops in Barstow, they were all booked. The hotels around the truck stops are quite new, so I didn't want to go to the city of Barstow. I called the Baymont and they had a room. I was pleasantly surprised. The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was clean and the hotel was really quiet. I've always been looking for bedbugs at Chicago hotels. I picked up the mattress to look for eggs or the bugs themselves...not even dust! I slept great. The A/C worked great. Overall, I would skip the crowds of Lenwood Rd hotels and stay here again if I ever had to stay in Barstow.

The window didn 't latch properly in both my first and second rooms. I ended up fixing it myself so as not to be relocated again. The staff is nice. Don 't expect hot breakfast as it is listed. The juice dispenser was empty and the selection of high calorie packaged sweet rolls was disappointing. The fridge has mini yogurts and corn dogs, weird.
