However, I wasn't completely certain about the status of the fritters and their understanding of cross-contamination. In my experience, Indian cuisine is usually a relatively safe choice for those with celiac disease, as there are many naturally gluten-free options available. To be cautious, I decided to avoid the poppadoms and anything fried or in a broth. I ordered chicken jalfrezi with plain rice, and it was delicious! The sauce looked different from what I saw on other diners' plates—less saucy and more vegetable-based. Overall, I would definitely consider eating here again.
Unfortunately, I experienced some cross-contamination during my visit. Although the food was gluten-free, there was no attention given to preventing cross-contact.
The menu clearly marks gluten-free options, and the staff mentioned that they could prepare most dishes gluten-free. However, I’m not entirely confident about the fryer’s status and the understanding of cross-contamination when using it. Generally, I find Indian cuisine to be a relatively safe choice for those with celiac disease, as there are many naturally gluten-free options available. Because of this, I avoided poppadoms, fried items, and any type of bread. I ordered the chicken jalfrezi with plain rice, and it was really delicious. The sauce was different from what others had; it was less saucy and runny and contained more vegetables. I would likely return to this restaurant again.
