The Penny Lane River Boat

See my review under the Avon Parade which it has been since early this year-2019. Had never visted under The Penny Lane,but many years ago when it was called The Pride of Bath.

Just returned from a few beautiful days in sunny Bath...found this beautiful barge on the river and had to stop for a cold beer whilst relaxing in the sun looking at Pultney bridge. It was so good to escape all the tourists of Bath..we enjoyed it so much had to return another time. We unfortunately didnt eat but the food looked and smelt lovely. The barge was lovely and clean and very modern looking..if in Bath again we would head straight there and definitely make sure we include food not just a drink..

I honestly don't know how I have been in Bath for so long and managed to miss this place! We had a group event with around 30 people. The venue was lovely and the food excellent; really home-made cooking. The quality, variety and quantity of food was extremely good and the service was also excellent. Drinks were great too. When it is not hired for events, the Penny Lane is a normal pub so we will certainly be back!

Stumbled across the boat while on a stroll by the river. Never had a drink on a pub boat before, the sun was out and it was a relaxed atmosphere. Definitely a must do when in bath.

Lovely time with my fiance. Very helpfull staff and leally good food. we will be back soon to try the other dishes
