She takes me all the way back and leads me and my son to a single dining table with two dining room chairs. My son is only two and can't sit in a chair of himself, so I was kindly wondering if I could sit at a stand where I felt like I was asking a regret. I mentioned how it is easier for him to sit on a stand instead of on a regular adult chair. We sat and got a menu and a series of utensils. I've never been asked for a water or a drink, or if I need a minute. The menu was simply put in the table and she went away. My toddler is active and had a hard time to sit, he accidentally spilled soy sauce, so I asked for a napkin and told her he spilled soy sauce and I was told? I see that and gives me a napkin to clean it and goes away. I thought that was the reason I didn't take care of it. My son sat over and we were ready to order. I didn't want to shout out because it's rude, so I'm waiting for her to pick up my order. She went by and answered the phone for at least 5 minutes and still never took my order. At one point I mentioned how I was insecure if I ordered, depending on whether my 2 years old would sit. Then she goes back and never comes out. After I was tired of waiting, I asked the man who makes sushi, the lady is coming back. I wanted to let her know I'm leaving instead of just running out. The man called back in another language, I'm not sure what was said. After waiting there a good min I ended walking out because I felt as if my business was undesirable and I felt unwilling and super annoyed about my experience especially the fact that I had my toddler son and there was no compassion or recognition or care. Super applied.
Had delivery this past Weekend and from the delivery woman to the food, I cannot say enough good things!! She was adorable and dealt with our dogs coming to say hi so wonderfully. The food was fresh and delicious. The hot things were hot and cold things cold and everything was just prepared beautifully!! Thank you!!!
Absolutely dirty. Beef Soba soup was soggy spaghetti with the worst tasting broth. The beef smelled and tasted badly. Spicy tuna reel was so old, fishy, and the rice was dry and hard. Tempura dish was fat all bread and barely shrimp.
I've ordered in from Banji a couple of times a month since I moved to the area 2 years ago. The special rolls have been consistently good and the prices are reasonable. The vegetable tempura is always crispy and delicious. I've never been disappointed.
The place is very cozy. It was my first time. They are a little different from the regular Japanese restaurants. Definitely stop by and try the food. I will definitely be back. I would suggest it for small parties and couples. They have a large variety of rolls and sushi to choose from.
