Delicious Pils, delicious food and nice people. Always happy!!!
Location The Brauhaus Stiefel Jürgens has a particularly favorable location, centrally located in the pedestrian area of Beckum. With a 334-year-old tradition, the brewery is the oldest traditionally managed brewery in Westphalia and is already in the 9th generation. The name Stiefel Jürgens comes from the shoemaker's garden, which was already in the restaurant before. However, as there were several restaurants named Jürgens at this time, a boot was hanging out at each meeting, so everyone knew where the shoemakers met. At the entrance you will be right in front of the large old counter with bar stools. The names of the regulars are engraved into the table top in the large regular tables, so there can be no confusion. Besides the sink there are two larger rooms. With wooden beams on the ceiling, oak rust furniture, tin plate, flags in shop windows, but still not old and dusty, but cozy and beautifully restored. On the tables small iron bottles are reshaped in vases and the cutlery is in small tin buckets. Service We are welcome and allowed to choose a table. Flott was asked for our wishes and the beers were explained to us. The service staff is simple, binding and communicative. Food From the manageable menu there is a petty-bourgeois cuisine with western-false specialities. We chose the Matjes Tatar Westphalian style on Pumperni ckel an Beilagensalat (7,20 €). The somewhat cruel Matjes Tatar served on a glass plate that tasted better than it looked. With the cream ring and the pumper nickel everything tasted fresh and light. The very finely cut salad, leaf paprika, cucumbers etc. rounded everything. Brauer's pepper steak from pork steak with colorful pepper, swollen onions, mushrooms, croquettes and salad leaves (11.90 €) was a poem. The steak was fried sharply on the outside, inside the meat still virgin and butter soft. Every bite goes to the tongue. The croquettes are on the outside with a beautiful Ally potato taste and also the carrot salad can convince with its freshness. Conclusion Good brewhouse kitchen, also for the pampered palate much enjoyment with good conscience again
Gerne wieder!
Super Pub... waren heute wieder da...
